Me Before You

If ever you are lucky to see this movie,it is one I would highly recommand and I will tell you why. And I hope it’ll be interesting.

Tantei once asked me what was my favourite movie and I had told her that I hadn’t been seeing movies lately but I would like to talk about this movie today. (NB: I still don’t have a favourite movie ;-))

 Me before you…

Wow, I get goosebumps and tears in my eyes just thinking about it. It’s a film that questions what is considered right and wrong to do medically and legally. It puts into the spotlight the real difference between the rich and the poor.

As a brief summary, a rich and successful business man who could be considered as living a perfect life, beautiful girlfriend, expensive trips, cars, apartment, very sportive and entrepreneur. He is bumped by a motorcycle on his way out of a cafe from which he was seeking a ride home, though he had parked his own bike (don’t drink and drive rule being try thoroughly respected here.). Loses the use of all his limbs with only proper brain functionality. Reduced to a lump who needs help with everything.
So far, all the helps engaged by his parents quit cause of his horrible and repulsive attitude. All but Lou

She was a maid at a cafe for the elderly that was forced to close due to lack of funds. She passed the interview and was instantly love by mom.

A joyful, full of life and love type of individual, Lou wasn’t discouraged by his bad moods. She eventually fell in love and learnt about the deal he made with his parents. 6months to enjoy his company then they had to help him medically leave this earth.

She thought activities would help change his mind about it. Got him to go out with her to opera, horse racing, was his date to his ex girlfriend’s wedding to his best friend (ermmm..) and organised a trip to

She hoped and prayed he’d reconsider his decision and was tore apart when he told her that even out of love he couldn’t continue to live that type of life, dependencies, agony, shame..

At the end of the movie, she lay on his chest and watched him fade away..And months later received his donation to sponsor her studies and apartment in central London.. if that’s not love….

Being from a wealthy family, he had the choice of dieing, something “poor people” don’t have a choice about. Law constricts it.

Love united them even after death.

And what can we trully do in the name of love???

I would really recommend this film to everyone, it’s a masterpiece and has so many hidden messages..

Thanks..

I love this movie so much. It’s underrated for what reasons I don’t understand. The movie is innocent, pure and the characters of Will & Lou are wonderfully portrayed by both actors. Highly recommended movie. Hi-fi 😀

  5. Thank you for making this recommendation. I finally finished wiping the last tear. This was definitely a good selection. I held onto hope until the credits started rolling that he would change his mind.

I loved him in The Hunger Games (Finnick) and, besides Jon Snow, she is my favorite in Game of Thrones.
